I have always hated trying to strip wire wrap gage wire. Most times the stripper ends up nicking or cutting the conductor. Not this one though, it just works. All you have to do is set the length and the gage and go to town. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is its made of plastic. For the cost of the tool I think it should be made of aluminum or even titanium. It does work though.It works. For the price I expected no fiddling around. For example, the little chart on the side says dial in "0,25" for stripping 30 AWG. I still have to pull quite hard to break remaining the non-cut insulation. The next setting cuts into the wire itself. There are detents for each preset value so there is no fine tuning.Just be carefull you get a size that meets your needs as these are not all the same. Once set up, by adjusting the blades via the front calibrated dial, then stripping the insulation from the conductor there is little chance of nicking the inside wires. Also the length of the desired strip is set by adjusting the sliding calibrated end stop prior to inserting the cable to carry out the process.The only downside with my puchase was that the shipping cost to Australia of over 11 GBP was more than half the cost of the tool.A CD bought on the Amazon UK for around 10 GBP ships to Australia for just over 3.5 GBP, yet the package size is identical. Go figure!Great handy tool for small gauge wire, especially good for short end strips...und so klein wie dieses Werkzeug ist, rechtfertigt es den Preis,denn abisolieren wird damit zum Kinderspiel => sehr empfehlenswert!Ich nutze den "C.K" vornehmlich zur Herstellung von Breadboard-Steckbrückenund auch bei sehr feiner Litze, wo eine normale Abisolierzange überfordertist (oder ich, der sie bedient ;).Bei Steckbrücken ist die Länge des abisolierten Drahtes relevant - mit demvariablen Anschlag und dem einstellbaren Schnittdurchmesser hat man flugsjede Menge in beliebiger Länge hergestellt.Kompliment an Amazon: gestern bestellt und heute geliefert = das geht nicht besser!Ich habe schon zig verschiedene Abisolierwerkzeuge gekauft.Alles Mist wenn man dünne Litzen abisolieren möchte.Jedesmal waren die Adern beschädigt.....Bei einem Kumpel habe ich dieses Werkzeug dann gesehen, ausprobiert und ar auf Anhieb begeistert.Tatsächlich, das funktioniert nun endlich.Ich bin Happy und die Kabel freuen sich auch darüber :-)Sehr EmpfehelnswertWas mich bei diesem Abisolierer stört ist, dass entweder leicht ein Äderchen mitabgezwackt wird oder die Abisolierung nicht ordentlich möglich ist. Dieser "missstand" ist bestimmt durch die Bauart der Schneidemechanik (4 klingen, welche rautenförmig schneiden) bedingt.Wen es allerdings nicht stört, dass mal ein Äderchen dran glauben muss, für den bietet dieses Werkzeug eine sehr schnelle und einfache Art, kleine Kabel abzuisolieren.
